Mark Robinson has enjoyed 28 rewarding years in the public sector, starting his career as a YTS apprentice spending 16 years in Local Government. He progressed into roles including construction operations, strategic planning and corporate procurement, before moving into the housing sector where he set up an ALMO and became a Chief Executive at the age of 32.

After a few years, Mark wished to return to mainstream public service. Following a short spell in strategic transformation at a local authority, he was appointed CEO of Scape Group in 2009. Over this time, Mark’s leadership has taken Scape from being a small design and procurement company, to a nationally recognised and market leading efficiency organisation for the public sector.

Over 800 clients now use Scape’s services, helping them deliver 2,000 projects and commissions across the UK at any one time. The team at Scape have created efficiencies in excess of £400m for the public sector and, with its’ partners, introduced over 90,000 young people to the construction industry.

Mark champions smarter procurement and best practice in efficient construction. He works closely with some of the biggest construction companies in the UK and leading industry bodies to help improve the built environment across the public estate.
