A very focused, highly cost effective and imaginative staff development programme for the Welsh Audit Office’s 200 plus staff which increased staff engagement at all levels putting the Audit Office into the top ten UK public bodies chart and much improved LGBT employer ratings. Through staff workshops and projects, a fresh GREAT visual brand was developed in-house in English and Welsh to promote five key vales – genuine, respectful, energetic, adaptable and trustworthy.

    Shining the Light on Daylight Robbery

A well-researched consumer campaign for foreign currency provider FairFX that achieved wide coverage in the press, broadcast media and online through excellent content, stories that exposed the high costs of currency deals – especially at airports – and had a resonance with the customer looking for best value for his/her money. Over 70,000 new customers were generated for the client through the 12 month PR programme, and a notable drop in people buying currency at airports.

Education Campaign

  • Children’s Commissioner for Wales
    Tackling Islamophobia

The Children’s Commissioner for Wales was concerned by increased reports that Muslim children and young people in Wales were being abused and threatened so launched this challenging, educative campaign to highlight the problem, including negative media portrayal of young Muslims. The Commissioner’s in-house team worked with young Muslims and others in Wales to develop videos and resources to tackle the problem, particularly through schools. The campaign received positive media coverage, support from the Muslim Council of Wales and some 78% of all young people involved said they would now challenge the negatives.

This special edition of the Great Western Railways staff magazine set new standards in design, infographics and production, reporting clearly to its 6,200 staff on changing ways of working and improving customer experience, using the Famous Five “our greatest journey” theme. The publication involved staff across the rail company in its research and content, with the result of most staff reading the special edition and seeing its contents as relevant. Even pride in working for GWR went up 3% following the staff survey after publication!
