Rachel Bell MCIPR
Rachel is a serial entrepreneur, having started seven multi-award winning professional services businesses across the marketing spectrum – the most notable being PR agency Shine (now the Academy Media Group, of which she is Chair). Her philosophy of promoting and developing talent has won her industry recognition including #1 Sunday Times Best Small Company to Work For. She is a serial NED and chairs CIS, her late father’s engineering business.
In November 2019, Rachel was awarded the PRCA’s Mark Mellor Award for her Outstanding Contribution to the UK PR Industry. She won Best Leader of a Small Business in 2012 by the Sunday Times. More recently, Rachel has created a mentoring business – Brand Spanking – which supports early stage businesses in establishing best practice. Her book “Start-Ups, Pivots and Pop-ups” is available on Amazon.
Best practice business management has always been a passion point and her agencies’ unique approach to company planning and highly entrepreneurial divisional business planning has enabled her to leave a legacy of leadership that spans the comms industry.
Her latest venture – Brand Spanking – allow Rachel to mentor CEOs, board teams and founders on how to build, grow and exit their businesses.
